Task-Specific AI
Task-Specific AI refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to perform specific tasks rather than general intelligence. These systems are trained to excel in particular areas, such as language translation, image recognition, or playing games like Chess or Go. They use algorithms and data to optimize their performance for these defined tasks.
Unlike General AI, which aims to replicate human-like understanding and reasoning across various domains, Task-Specific AI focuses on efficiency and accuracy in its designated function. Examples include virtual assistants like Siri or Alexa, which can manage tasks like setting reminders or answering questions, but do not possess broader cognitive abilities.
