Narrow AI
Narrow AI, also known as weak AI, refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to perform specific tasks or solve particular problems. Unlike general AI, which aims to replicate human intelligence across a wide range of activities, narrow AI excels in limited domains, such as language translation, image recognition, or playing chess. Examples include Siri, Google Translate, and IBM's Watson.
These systems operate based on algorithms and data, allowing them to learn and improve within their designated tasks. However, they lack the ability to understand or perform outside their programmed functions, making them less versatile than human intelligence.
