Tarahumara People
The Tarahumara people, also known as the Rarámuri, are an indigenous group residing in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains of Mexico. They are known for their exceptional long-distance running abilities and maintain a traditional lifestyle that includes farming and herding. The Tarahumara speak the Rarámuri language, which is part of the Uto-Aztecan language family. They are famous for their colorful handwoven clothing and intricate crafts.
