Tamerlan
Tamerlan, also known as Timur, was a 14th-century conqueror from Central Asia. He founded the Timurid Empire and is known for his military campaigns across Persia, the Middle East, and parts of India. Tamerlan aimed to restore the Mongol Empire's glory and is often remembered for his brutal tactics and the vast territories he conquered.
Born in 1336 in present-day Uzbekistan, Tamerlan was a skilled strategist and leader. His capital was in Samarkand, which became a cultural and architectural center during his reign. Tamerlan's legacy includes significant contributions to art and architecture, influencing the region long after his death in 1405.
