Taluka
A "Taluka" is an administrative division in some countries, particularly in India and Pakistan. It serves as a sub-unit of a district, which is a larger administrative area. Each taluka is responsible for local governance, including the management of resources, public services, and development projects.
Talukas are further divided into smaller units called villages or towns, which help in organizing local administration. The head of a taluka is usually known as a "Talukdar" or "Taluka Officer," who oversees various functions such as land revenue collection and law enforcement within the area.
