Talat Pasha
Talat Pasha was a prominent Ottoman politician and one of the key figures behind the Armenian Genocide during World War I. Born in 1874, he served as the Minister of the Interior and later as the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire. His policies aimed at centralizing power and promoting Turkish nationalism significantly impacted the empire's diverse populations.
After the war, Talat Pasha fled to Germany, where he was assassinated in 1921 by an Armenian avenger, Soghomon Tehlirian. His actions and the resulting genocide have left a lasting legacy, influencing discussions on human rights and historical accountability.
