Taisho Emperor
The Taisho Emperor, also known as Yoshihito, was the 123rd Emperor of Japan, reigning from 1912 until his death in 1926. His reign is marked by significant political and social changes in Japan, including the rise of democracy and the influence of Western culture. The period is often referred to as the Taisho Democracy era.
Due to health issues, the Taisho Emperor had limited involvement in state affairs, leading to increased power for the Prime Minister and other political leaders. His reign saw Japan's participation in World War I and the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which expanded Japan's influence in Asia.
