Tahr
The Tahr is a large, herbivorous mammal native to the mountainous regions of Himalayas and North Africa. It belongs to the family Bovidae and is closely related to goats and sheep. Tahr have a robust build, with long, curved horns and a thick coat that helps them adapt to cold environments. They are known for their agility on steep, rocky terrain.
There are two main species of Tahr: the Himalayan Tahr and the Nubian Tahr. Both species are social animals, often found in groups, and primarily feed on grasses, leaves, and shrubs. Due to habitat loss and hunting, some Tahr populations are threatened, leading to conservation efforts in their native regions.
