Taejong of Joseon
Taejong of Joseon was the third king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1400 to 1418. Born as Yi Bang-won, he was the son of King Taejo, the founder of the dynasty. Taejong is known for consolidating power and establishing a strong central government, which helped stabilize the kingdom after its founding.
During his reign, Taejong implemented various reforms, including the creation of a more efficient administrative system and the promotion of Confucianism as the state ideology. He also strengthened the military and expanded the territory of the Joseon Dynasty, laying the groundwork for future prosperity.
