King Taejo
King Taejo was the founder of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1392 to 1398. He was born as Yi Seong-gye and was a military general before establishing the dynasty. His leadership marked the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and the beginning of a new era in Korean history.
During his reign, King Taejo implemented significant reforms, including the establishment of Confucianism as the state ideology. He also worked to consolidate power and promote agricultural development, which helped stabilize the nation. His legacy is remembered for laying the foundation of a dynasty that lasted over five centuries.
