Taeguk
The term "Taeguk" refers to a symbol that represents the concept of balance and harmony in Korean culture. It is often depicted as a circle divided into two swirling sections, one red and one blue, symbolizing the duality of Yin and Yang. The red section represents positive forces, while the blue section represents negative forces, illustrating the interconnectedness of opposites.
In addition to its cultural significance, the Taeguk is prominently featured on the flag of South Korea, known as the Taegeukgi. The flag incorporates the Taeguk at its center, surrounded by four black trigrams, which further symbolize various natural elements and principles, reinforcing the idea of balance in the universe.
