Taegeukgi
The Taegeukgi is the national flag of South Korea. It features a white background symbolizing peace and purity, with a red and blue circle in the center representing the balance of the universe. The circle is divided into two halves, with red symbolizing positive forces and blue representing negative forces.
Surrounding the circle are four black trigrams, each representing different elements: heaven, earth, fire, and water. These trigrams are derived from I Ching, an ancient Chinese text, and they emphasize the importance of harmony and balance in the universe, reflecting the philosophical foundations of Korean culture.
