Tōhoku region
The Tōhoku region is located in the northeastern part of Honshu, the main island of Japan. It consists of six prefectures: Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Akita, Yamagata, and Fukushima. Known for its beautiful landscapes, including mountains and coastlines, Tōhoku experiences heavy snowfall in winter and is famous for its hot springs.
Tōhoku is also rich in cultural heritage, with traditional festivals such as the Nebuta Matsuri in Aomori and the Kanto Matsuri in Akita. The region is known for its agriculture, producing rice, fruits, and seafood, making it an important area for food production in Japan.
