Kanto Matsuri
The Kanto Matsuri is a traditional festival held annually in Akita, Japan, typically in early August. It features large, tall poles called kanto, which are adorned with lanterns and can reach up to 12 meters in height. Participants skillfully balance these poles on their foreheads, shoulders, and hips while parading through the streets, showcasing their strength and balance.
