Syrian National Council
The Syrian National Council (SNC) is a coalition of various opposition groups formed in October 2011 during the early stages of the Syrian Civil War. Its primary goal is to represent the Syrian people and coordinate efforts to overthrow the Bashar al-Assad regime. The SNC aims to establish a democratic and pluralistic government in Syria.
The council includes members from different political backgrounds, including secular and Islamist factions. It has received support from several countries and organizations, seeking to unify the opposition and provide a political alternative to the existing government. However, the SNC has faced challenges in gaining widespread support within Syria.
