Sylheti
Sylheti is an Indo-Aryan language primarily spoken in the Sylhet region of Bangladesh and parts of India. It is considered a dialect of Bengali, but it has distinct phonetic, lexical, and grammatical features that set it apart. Sylheti has its own script, which is a variant of the Bengali script, and is used by many speakers for writing.
The language is an important part of the cultural identity of the Sylheti people. With millions of speakers, it plays a significant role in the local community, literature, and music. Sylheti is also spoken by diaspora communities around the world, particularly in the United Kingdom and United States.
