Swedish-Norwegian Wars
The Swedish-Norwegian Wars were a series of conflicts between Sweden and Norway from the late 16th century to the early 18th century. These wars primarily stemmed from territorial disputes and the struggle for dominance in the Scandinavian region. Key conflicts included the Kalmar War (1611-1613) and the Great Northern War (1700-1721), which involved multiple European powers.
The wars often resulted in shifting borders and changes in political control. By the end of the conflicts, Norway was united with Sweden under the Union of Kalmar in 1814, marking a significant change in the relationship between the two nations.
