Swedish football
Swedish football, known as fotboll in Swedish, is governed by the Swedish Football Association (SvFF), established in 1904. The top professional league is the Allsvenskan, which features 16 teams competing annually. The league has a rich history and has produced many talented players who have gone on to achieve international success.
The national team, known as the Blågult (the Blue-Yellow), has participated in several FIFA World Cups and UEFA European Championships. Sweden's best World Cup performance came in 1958 when they reached the final. The country is also known for its strong youth development programs, fostering future football stars.
