The Swahili language, also known as Kiswahili, is a Bantu language widely spoken in East Africa. It serves as a lingua franca in countries like Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, facilitating communication among diverse ethnic groups. Swahili has a rich vocabulary influenced by Arabic, due to historical trade connections, as well as words from English, Portuguese, and other languages.
