Swaddling Techniques
Swaddling techniques involve wrapping a baby snugly in a soft blanket to provide comfort and security. This practice can help mimic the feeling of being in the womb, which may soothe infants and promote better sleep. It is important to ensure that the swaddle is not too tight, allowing for natural movement of the baby's hips and legs.
To swaddle a baby, lay the blanket in a diamond shape, fold down the top corner, and place the baby on their back with their shoulders just below the fold. Then, wrap one side of the blanket over the baby’s body and tuck it under, followed by the other side. Finally, fold the bottom of the blanket up to secure the baby’s feet.
