Suzhou gardens
The Suzhou gardens are a collection of classical Chinese gardens located in Suzhou, a city in Jiangsu Province. These gardens, dating back to the 6th century, are renowned for their exquisite design, which harmonizes natural landscapes with architecture. They feature elements such as ponds, rock formations, and carefully arranged plants, creating serene environments for contemplation.
Among the most famous gardens are the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Lingering Garden. These gardens exemplify the principles of Chinese garden design, emphasizing balance, harmony, and the beauty of nature. In 1997, several of these gardens were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
