Sutra Pitaka
The Sutra Pitaka is one of the three main sections of the Pali Canon, which is the sacred scripture of Theravada Buddhism. It contains a collection of discourses attributed to Gautama Buddha and his close disciples. The texts cover various teachings, ethical guidelines, and meditation practices, serving as a foundational source for Buddhist philosophy.
Divided into five collections, the Sutra Pitaka includes the Digha Nikaya (Long Discourses), Majjhima Nikaya (Middle-Length Discourses), and others. These texts are essential for understanding the core principles of Buddhism, such as the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path.
