Suppressor
A suppressor, often referred to as a silencer, is a device attached to the muzzle of a firearm to reduce the noise generated when the gun is fired. It works by slowing and cooling the escaping gases from the bullet, which decreases the sound produced. Suppressors can also help reduce recoil and improve accuracy.
In many countries, including the United States, suppressors are legal but regulated. They are commonly used in shooting sports, hunting, and by law enforcement to minimize noise pollution and enhance shooting comfort. However, their use is often surrounded by misconceptions and legal restrictions.
