Superettan
Superettan is the second tier of professional football in Sweden. It operates below the top division, Allsvenskan, and features teams competing for promotion to the higher league. The league typically consists of 16 teams that play each other in a round-robin format, with matches held from spring to autumn.
The top teams at the end of the season earn promotion to Allsvenskan, while the lowest-ranked teams face relegation to the third tier, known as Division 1. Superettan serves as an important platform for clubs to develop talent and gain experience in competitive football.
