Sunni Theology
Sunni Theology is the branch of Islamic thought followed by the majority of Muslims worldwide. It emphasizes the teachings of the Qur'an and the Hadith, which are the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad. Sunni Muslims believe in the importance of community consensus and the role of scholars in interpreting religious texts.
Central to Sunni Theology is the concept of the Five Pillars of Islam, which are essential acts of worship and practice. These pillars include the declaration of faith, prayer, almsgiving, fasting during Ramadan, and pilgrimage to Mecca. Sunni beliefs also stress the importance of following the Sunna, or the traditional practices of the Prophet.
