Sunni Schools of Thought
The Sunni Schools of Thought refer to the various interpretations and practices within Sunni Islam, the largest branch of Islam. The main schools are the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali schools, each named after their founders. These schools differ in their approaches to Islamic law, theology, and rituals, but all share a common belief in the teachings of the Qur'an and the Hadith.
Each school has its own methodology for deriving legal rulings, which can lead to variations in practices among Sunni Muslims. Despite these differences, the schools emphasize unity in the core beliefs of Islam, including the importance of the Five Pillars and the role of the Prophet Muhammad.
