Sunni Jurisprudence
Sunni Jurisprudence refers to the legal framework and principles followed by the Sunni branch of Islam. It is based on the teachings of the Qur'an, the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (known as Hadith), and the consensus of scholars. Sunni jurisprudence emphasizes the importance of community consensus and reasoning in interpreting Islamic law.
There are four main schools of thought within Sunni jurisprudence: Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali. Each school has its own methodologies and interpretations, but all share a commitment to the core principles of Islam. Sunni jurisprudence plays a crucial role in guiding the daily lives and practices of Sunni Muslims around the world.
