Sunda Tiger
The Sunda Tiger is a subspecies of tiger found primarily on the islands of Sumatra in Indonesia. It is known for its distinctive dark orange coat with black stripes, which helps it blend into its forest habitat. Sunda Tigers are smaller than their mainland counterparts, with males weighing between 220 to 310 pounds.
These tigers are solitary animals and are primarily nocturnal, hunting at night for prey such as deer and wild boar. Unfortunately, the Sunda Tiger is classified as critically endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, and declining prey populations, making conservation efforts essential for its survival.
