Sunbeds
Sunbeds, also known as tanning beds, are devices that emit ultraviolet (UV) radiation to simulate sunlight, allowing users to achieve a tanned appearance. They typically consist of a flat bed with a series of fluorescent lamps that produce UV light. Sunbeds are often used in salons and spas, providing a controlled environment for tanning.
While sunbeds can enhance skin color, they also pose health risks, including skin damage and an increased risk of skin cancer. Many health organizations, including the World Health Organization, advise caution and recommend limiting exposure to UV radiation from sunbeds.
