Sumo Tournament
A Sumo Tournament is a traditional Japanese sporting event where wrestlers, known as rikishi, compete in a circular ring called a dohyo. The goal is to force the opponent out of the ring or to make any part of their body, other than the soles of their feet, touch the ground. Tournaments are held several times a year, with the most prestigious being the six major tournaments.
Each tournament lasts for 15 days, with matches taking place daily. Wrestlers are ranked based on their performance, and the top-ranked wrestlers compete for the championship title. The atmosphere is vibrant, with rituals and ceremonies that reflect Japan's rich cultural heritage.
