Sultans of Delhi
The Sultans of Delhi were a series of Muslim rulers who governed parts of the Indian subcontinent from the 13th to the 16th centuries. They established the Delhi Sultanate, which marked the beginning of Muslim rule in India. The dynasty included several notable rulers, such as Iltutmish and Alauddin Khilji, who expanded their territories and strengthened their administration.
The Sultans contributed significantly to the cultural and architectural landscape of India. They built impressive structures, including the Qutub Minar and Alai Darwaza, which reflect the fusion of Islamic and Indian styles. Their reign laid the groundwork for the later Mughal Empire.
