Sultan Shamsuddin Ilyas Shah
Sultan Shamsuddin Ilyas Shah was the founder of the Ilyas Shahi dynasty in Bengal, ruling from 1342 to 1353. He established his reign after the decline of the Delhi Sultanate, marking the beginning of an independent Bengal. His rule is noted for promoting trade and agriculture, which helped the region prosper.
