Sultan Mehmed I, also known as Mehmed the Restorer, was the Ottoman Sultan from 1413 to 1421. He played a crucial role in re-establishing the Ottoman Empire after a period of civil strife known as the Interregnum. His leadership helped stabilize the empire and laid the groundwork for future expansion.
During his reign, Mehmed I focused on consolidating power and restoring order. He worked to strengthen the Ottoman military and improve the administration of his territories. His efforts not only revived the empire but also set the stage for his successors, including his son, Sultan Murad II, who continued the expansionist policies.
