Sultan Iltutmish
Sultan Iltutmish was a prominent ruler of the Delhi Sultanate in India during the 13th century. He ascended to the throne in 1211 and is known for consolidating the Sultanate's power and expanding its territory. Iltutmish was a former slave who rose to prominence under his predecessor, Qutb al-Din Aibak, and he played a crucial role in establishing a stable administration.
Iltutmish is also recognized for introducing the Iqtadari system, which helped in efficient revenue collection and governance. He was a patron of culture and education, contributing to the construction of several important monuments, including the Qutub Minar in Delhi.
