They are known for their unique maritime culture, relying heavily on fishing and sea-based activities for their livelihood. The Suku Bajo are often referred to as "sea nomads" due to their traditional practice of living on boats and moving between islands.
Their language, also called Bajo, is part of the Austronesian language family. The Suku Bajo have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and crafts. They maintain a close relationship with the ocean, which plays a central role in their identity and way of life.
