Sukjong
Sukjong was the 19th king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1674 to 1720. He is known for his efforts to strengthen royal authority and improve the economy. His reign saw significant cultural developments, including advancements in literature and the arts.
During Sukjong's rule, he faced political challenges, particularly from the Namin and Soin factions within the court. He is also remembered for his relationships with various concubines, notably Jang Hee-bin, which influenced court politics and public perception.
