Sudanese pound
The Sudanese pound is the official currency of Sudan. It is abbreviated as SDG and is subdivided into 100 piastres. The currency has undergone several changes and redenominations due to economic challenges, with the current version introduced in 2011 after the separation of South Sudan.
The Central Bank of Sudan is responsible for issuing and regulating the Sudanese pound. The currency is used for everyday transactions, including buying goods and services. Exchange rates can fluctuate significantly due to inflation and economic conditions in the country.
