Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Lighthouse
The Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Lighthouse is located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, at the entrance of the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal. Built in 1882, this historic lighthouse was designed to guide ships safely through the canal, which connects Lake Michigan to Green Bay. The lighthouse features a distinctive red and white color scheme and stands at a height of 45 feet.
The lighthouse is an important part of maritime history in the region and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is no longer an active aid to navigation but remains a popular site for visitors interested in lighthouse architecture and Great Lakes history.
