Strait of Belle Isle
The Strait of Belle Isle is a narrow waterway located between the northern tip of Newfoundland and the southern coast of Labrador in Canada. It connects the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the Atlantic Ocean and is approximately 17 miles (27 kilometers) long. The strait plays a significant role in maritime navigation and is known for its strong currents and ice conditions, especially during winter.
