Storebælt
Storebælt is a strait in Denmark that separates the islands of Zealand and Funen. It is an important waterway for shipping and transportation, connecting the Baltic Sea to the North Sea. The strait is approximately 18 kilometers wide at its narrowest point.
The Storebælt Bridge, completed in 1998, spans the strait and is one of the longest bridges in Europe. It consists of a suspension bridge and a railway bridge, facilitating both road and rail traffic. This infrastructure has significantly improved connectivity between the islands and boosted the local economy.
