Stingless Bees
Stingless bees are a group of bees belonging to the tribe Meliponini, known for their inability to sting. They are typically smaller than honeybees and are found in tropical and subtropical regions around the world. These bees play a crucial role in pollination, helping to fertilize many plants and crops.
Unlike honeybees, stingless bees produce a different type of honey, which is often more liquid and has a unique flavor. They build their nests in hollow trees, underground, or in man-made structures, using resin and wax to protect their colonies. Their social structure is similar to that of honeybees, with a queen, workers, and drones.
