Stevns Klint
Stevns Klint is a striking chalk cliff located on the eastern coast of Denmark. It stretches approximately 15 kilometers along the Øresund Strait and is known for its unique geological formations. The cliffs are composed of layers of chalk and flint, which were formed during the late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago.
This site is significant for its rich fossil deposits, including evidence of the mass extinction event that wiped out the dinosaurs. Stevns Klint is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting geologists and tourists interested in its natural history and stunning coastal views.
