Steven Swanson
Steven Swanson is an American astronaut and engineer known for his work with NASA. He was born on June 3, 1960, in Syracuse, New York. Swanson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from George Washington University. He has participated in multiple space missions, contributing to the International Space Station (ISS) and conducting various scientific experiments.
Throughout his career, Swanson has logged over 500 hours in space. He flew on three space shuttle missions: STS-117, STS-119, and STS-133. In addition to his work as an astronaut, he has served as a flight controller and has been involved in various engineering roles at NASA.
