State Bank of Pakistan
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is the central bank of Pakistan, established in 1948. Its primary role is to regulate the country's monetary and credit system, ensuring economic stability and growth. The SBP manages the issuance of currency and oversees the banking sector, promoting a sound financial system.
In addition to its regulatory functions, the SBP formulates and implements monetary policy to control inflation and stabilize the national currency, the Pakistani Rupee. The bank also plays a crucial role in managing foreign exchange reserves and facilitating international trade for Pakistan.
