Stanisław Leszczyński
Stanisław Leszczyński was a Polish nobleman and king, born on October 20, 1677. He served as the king of Poland twice, first from 1704 to 1709 and then from 1733 to 1736. Leszczyński was known for his efforts to modernize Poland and promote education, establishing the Academy of Nancy in France.
After losing the throne, he lived in exile in France, where he became a patron of the arts and philosophy. Leszczyński was also the father-in-law of King Louis XV of France, which helped strengthen ties between Poland and France during his lifetime. He died on February 23, 1766.
