Stalinist
"Stalinist" refers to the political and economic policies associated with Joseph Stalin, the leader of the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s until his death in 1953. This ideology emphasized centralized control, state ownership of industry, and collectivization of agriculture. It aimed to rapidly industrialize the Soviet economy and strengthen the state through a series of Five-Year Plans.
Stalinism is also characterized by authoritarian governance, suppression of dissent, and widespread use of propaganda. The regime employed tactics such as purges, show trials, and forced labor camps to eliminate perceived threats and maintain power. These methods led to significant human rights abuses and millions of deaths during this period.
