St. Mary's Basilica
St. Mary's Basilica is a prominent church located in Kraków, Poland. Known for its stunning Gothic architecture, the basilica features two distinctive towers, the taller of which stands at 81 meters. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful stained glass windows and intricate wooden altars, including the famous Veit Stoss Altarpiece.
The basilica is also famous for its trumpet signal, called the Hejnal, which is played every hour from the top of the taller tower. This tradition commemorates a 13th-century trumpeter who was shot while warning the city of an impending attack. St. Mary's Basilica is a key symbol of Kraków's rich history and culture.
