St. Margaret of Scotland
St. Margaret of Scotland was a Scottish queen born in 1045. She was the daughter of Edward the Exile, a member of the English royal family. After her father's death, she and her family fled to Scotland, where she married King Malcolm III. Margaret became known for her piety, charitable works, and efforts to reform the church in Scotland.
Margaret was deeply devoted to her faith and is credited with introducing various religious practices to Scotland. She had six children, including David I of Scotland, who later became king. St. Margaret was canonized in 1250, and her feast day is celebrated on November 16.
