St Rule
St Rule is a significant figure in Christian history, known for his role in the establishment of the St Andrews community in Scotland during the 8th century. He is often credited with bringing Christianity to the region and is associated with the founding of the St Andrews Cathedral, which became an important pilgrimage site.
According to tradition, St Rule was guided by a vision to carry the remains of St Andrew, one of Jesus' apostles, to a place where he would find rest. This led him to the shores of Fife, where he established a church, laying the foundation for what would become a major center of Christianity in Scotland.
