Srinivasa Ramanujan
Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathematician born on December 22, 1887, in Erode, India. He showed extraordinary mathematical talent from a young age, developing original theories and formulas without formal training. His work primarily focused on number theory, continued fractions, and infinite series.
In 1913, Ramanujan sent a letter filled with his mathematical discoveries to G.H. Hardy, a prominent mathematician at the University of Cambridge. Impressed by his genius, Hardy invited Ramanujan to England, where they collaborated on several groundbreaking mathematical concepts. Ramanujan's contributions have had a lasting impact on mathematics, despite his untimely death at the age of 32.
